FIFA has extended provisional bans for two Lebanese football officials facing charges related to match-fixing in the Asian Football Confederation so that they apply worldwide.
Assistant referees Ali Eid and Abdallah Taleb were provisionally suspended from all football-related activities by the AFC while the governing body reaches a decision on whether they attempted to manipulate a match on April 3.
FIFA's disciplinary committee says those sanctions have now been imposed globally.
Eid and Taleb were charged with ''corruptly receiving gratification in the form of free sexual service,'' arranged by Singaporean businessman Eric Ding Si Yang, in an attempt to fix the AFC match in Singapore.
They were sentenced this month to three months in jail but were released within hours after a Singapore court took into account time already served while awaiting their sentences.
