FIFA has cleared Germany football federation president Wolfgang Niersbach of alleged ethics violations regarding his pay and pension.
The complaint was filed by Germany's delegate on the FIFA executive committee, Theo Zwanziger, against the man who will replace him in May.
FIFA says the investigation chamber of its ethics committee found "neither Wolfgang Niersbach nor any other person has violated the code of ethics."
The case involved the "examination of (Niersbach's) pension income and remuneration arrangements ... as requested by the German FIFA executive committee member Theo Zwanziger."
Niersbach has led the German federation since Zwanziger was ousted in 2012.
Zwanziger's four-year term on the FIFA ruling committee ends in May.
Niersbach is unopposed for election to the seat by UEFA member federations on March 24 in Vienna.
