FAC Morecambe 2-3 Cheltenham Town
Cheltenham earned themselves an FA Cup third-round tie against Championship side Doncaster with a 3-2 win over Morecambe on Tuesday night.
Goalkeeper Scott Brown was the Robins' hero with three stunning late saves to keep his side ahead as the Shrimps looked to fight back after Ashley Vincent's 54th-minute strike put Cheltenham 3-2 up.
An enthralling first half ended all square with plenty to talk about. The Shrimps took the lead after just four minutes through Henry McStay's looping header from Craig Stanley's excellent free-kick.
Cheltenham fought back and equalised after 22 minutes when Barry Hayles' shot was well saved by Barry Roche but the ball fell perfectly for Vincent to slot home from close range.
The Shrimps then took the lead for the second time when Rene Howe was fouled by Darren Kenton and the Morecambe striker stepped up to send Brown the wrong way from the spot.
But there was another penalty to follow after 36 minutes when the referee spotted a push in the area and John Finnigan marked his first game for 14 months with the spot-kick to level the scores for a second time.
Cheltenham grabbed their winner after the break when Vincent volleyed home from six yards.
