Fabio Coentrao out of Portugal's upcoming matches with left knee injury

LISBON, Portugal (AP) Fabio Coentrao will miss Portugal's upcoming games against France and Denmark because of a left knee injury.

In Coentrao's absence, Malaga defender Antunes will likely make his ninth appearance.

Portugal plays France in a friendly on Saturday and meets Denmark in a European Championship qualifier three days later.

The Portuguese are eager to get back on track under new coach Fernando Santos after losing their first Euro 2016 qualifier to Albania at home 1-0.
