Former Lyon captain Sidney Govou says he will leave at the end of the season after falling out with coach Claude Puel and club officials.

Govou, who has played for Lyon since 2000, is angry at how the club treated him when he was stripped of his captaincy following a drunken incident in October.

Govou told L'Equipe newspaper on Wednesday that he doesn't "have the feeling I have been protected" by the club. The 30-year-old France forward won seven consecutive French league titles with the club.

Govou said his relationship with Puel is all but nonexistent and that he would be interested in a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
