MANAUS, Brazil (AP) Samuel Eto'o will not start for Cameroon in Wednesday's crucial World Cup match against Croatia in Group A.

Eto'o, who came to Brazil with a right knee injury, played in the opening loss to Mexico but said he played through pain.

Both teams lost their opening matches but would be guaranteed to advance to the second round with two straight wins.

For Croatia, Luka Modric will start in the midfield and Mario Mandzukic will play up front after missing the 3-1 loss to Brazil because of suspension.
