Fenerbahce's Nigerian forward Emmanuel Emenike, who was detained and then released without charge following a Turkish match-fixing probe earlier this month, is joining Spartak Moscow.
''Our player has stated that he did not want to stay in Turkey further and our management reached an agreement with Spartak Moscow which has been interested in him,'' Fenerbahce said in a statement.
Turkish television stations NTV and TV8 said the deal was worth ?10 million.
Fenerbahce would not comment on the reports.
The announcement came hours after Fenerbahce notified the Istanbul stock market that foreign clubs were interested in signing Emenike, who has been selected for Nigeria's squad for next month's friendly against Ghana.
Fenerbahce's shares have plummeted more than 35 percent in the stock market since early July when its president Aziz Yildirim was jailed along with about 30 other suspects pending trial.
Fenerbahce faces the threat of losing its league title and possible relegation, along with other clubs, before the start of the season on Sept. 9.
