Elmohamady is on a season-long loan from ENPPI, and Sunderland already have an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season. The 23-year-old has impressed hugely since arriving on Wearside, and he has attracted attention from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United. Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has already stated his desire to make Elmohamady's move permanent as early as January, and the midfielder admits he is more than happy with life in the North-East. "I like the vibe here," Elmohamady said. "It's a nice place and people are so friendly. Everyone has been so helpful, especially here at the club. I feel as if I'm back home in Egypt. "I want to keep on playing in the Premier League, not for a year or two only. I want to do well for myself and my country. "The gaffer is a very good manager, and he's so respectful. He likes commitment. He trusts his players and we should repay his trust."
