Siem de Jong and Mounir El Hamdaoui scored Sunday to help Ajax beat Feyenoord 2-1 and return to the top of the Dutch League.
De Jong took advantage of a defensive error in the 40th and El Hamdaoui doubled the lead off a Luis Suarez pass 10 minutes after the break. Defender Andre Bahia replied for Feyenoord, heading home from a corner 10 minutes from time.
FC Groningen briefly led the league standings after defeating Excelsior Rotterdam 2-0 Saturday. Ajax leads with 16 points after six rounds, two more than Groningen and PSV, which was held to a 0-0 draw at Roda JC.
