Otman Bakkal scored in the 54th minute Sunday to give PSV Eindhoven a 1-0 win over FC Utrecht to stay top of the Dutch league.
Bakkal headed in a Stanislav Manolev cross to secure the victory for PSV.
Midfielder Theo Janssen netted twice, including a 67th-minute penalty to give defending champion FC Twente a 2-0 win over 10-man Excelsior Rotterdam.
Janssen converted Luuk de Jong's pass in the 36th as Twente took the lead. Janssen then converted a penalty earned by De Jong from a Kaj Ramsteijn foul.
PSV, who hold a one-point lead in the league, travel to second-place FC Twente in a potentially title-deciding match after the international break.
Earlier Sunday, Timothy Derijck scored a last-grasp winner as ADO The Hague beat Ajax 3-2.
ADO took the lead in the 31st when Frantisek Kubik capitalized on a defensive error by Gregory van der Wiel. Belgium defender Jan Vertonghen equalized with a hard shot in the 70th but ADO reclaimed the lead six minutes later through a Lex Immers goal.
Christian Eriksen headed Miralem Sulejmani's cross to level in the 85th before Derijck's dramatic winner.
Also Sunday, goals by Anouar Hadouir and Mads Junker gave Roda JC a 3-0 victory over Feyenoord to end the club's six-game winning streak.
