Drogba to miss Genk match because of arm surgery

Chelsea will be without Didier Drogba for Tuesday's Champions League match against Genk because of arm surgery.

Ivory Coast striker Drogba did not travel with the squad to Belgium for the Group E match.

Coach Andre Villas-Boas says Drogba is having screws removed in a follow-up procedure to a broken arm he sustained in the buildup to last year's World Cup.

Drogba has scored once in seven Premier League appearances this season and has yet to feature in the Champions League. He was sent off for a bad tackle in the Oct. 23 defeat at Queens Park Rangers and appeared to argue with teammate John Obi Mikel as he left the field.
