Draw disappoints Livermore
The visitors twice led at St James' Park, but substitute Shola Ameobi snatched a late point for the Magpies. The draw meant Spurs remained in sixth spot in the table behind Liverpool and Livermore says the result felt more like a defeat. Tottenham created numerous chances in the game and Livermore thinks they need to be more clinical and put games to bed. "As a team we've done well of late, we've been in a good run of form and that draw felt like a defeat," he told the club's official website. "We had enough chances to bury the game. At 2-1, we had two or three great opportunities to put the game to bed, but these things happen..." Livermore is enjoying a breakthrough season at White Hart Lane and the 21-year-old appreciates manager Harry Redknapp's faith in his ability. "The manager has put a lot of trust in me this season and I appreciate that," he continued. "I'm fortunate, I've had a good start to the season and so has the club. As I've always said, I just look forward to the next game now."
