Doyle confident over fitness
Doyle aggravated the medial knee ligament injury which sidelined him for two months during the penultimate game of the campaign against Sunderland. He was duly ruled out of the Republic of Ireland's Carling Nations Cup clashes with Northern Ireland and Scotland plus the Euro 2012 qualifier against Macedonia. But Doyle is optimistic he will be firing on all cylinders when preparations begin for the new campaign. The former Reading player said: "I came in for a week at the end of the season and will pop in a couple of times again just to keep an eye on it. "But I'll be 100 per cent for pre-season. I'm sure about that. "It was a bit frustrating to come back at Sunderland and tweak the knee it again but it will be fine. "I was fine for 10 minutes when I came on. I was enjoying it and felt really good. "But then I stubbed my toe which is the worst thing you can do with a medial knee injury and it aggravated it. "It set me back for a couple of weeks but I'm sure I'll be fine for pre-season." Meanwhile, Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey is optimistic Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara will make the permanent switch to Molineux in a £5million deal. Moxey confirmed negotiations had been "positive" with O'Hara after the player enjoyed a successful loan spell at Wolves during the second half of last season. O'Hara scored three goals in 13 games and played an important part in ensuring Wolves' Barclays Premier League survival. Moxey said: "Discussions are on-going and positive but that is all we would wish to say at this point. "It should be pointed out that under the terms of Jamie's loan from Tottenham, he is our player until the end of June anyway, so no other club can get involved until after that date. "We are entirely positive about the outcome of these discussions."
