Goalkeeper Seb Brown was the hero as he saved a penalty to help AFC Wimbledon to a 2-2 draw at home to Dagenham & Redbridge.

After a slow start the game burst into life after 15 minutes when Daggers striker Dwight Gale was hauled down in the box by Sammy Moore.

Gayle stepped up himself to take the spot-kick but his effort was brilliantly saved by Brown low to his right, who was then up sharply to make a fine block from Gayle's rebound.

The visitors made up for it, though, in the 28th minute when defender Michael Spillane headed in Billy Bingham's corner.

But the lead only lasted two minutes as Wimbledon went on the attack immediately and striker Jack Midson was on hand to slot home the rebound after Christian Jolley's effort was parried by Chris Lewington.

The hosts took the lead 10 minutes before the break as Byron Harrison volleyed home from close range, but it was their turn to be pegged back shortly after the break when Luke Howell fired home from inside the box.
