Diame keen to regain place

BY foxsports • April 6, 2011

Diame has started 24 games this season but recently found himself relegated down the pecking order behind the likes of Tom Cleverley, Ben Watson and James McCarthy. Diame told the Wigan Observer: "Fighting for places is something that everybody gets used to. Every footballer expects competition, nobody's place is taken for granted. "Yes, it is a little bit frustrating, it just means that you have to work harder to get in the team and the more choices the manager has to make, the better it is for the team. "All I can do is do everything I can to try and feature but ultimately it is about the team having options and the club progressing."
