Football great Alfredo Di Stefano is making good progress in a Spanish hospital where he is undergoing a routine check-up of his heart condition.
The Argentine-born Di Stefano, a Real Madrid honorary president and former forward, was admitted Tuesday to Valencia's La Fe hospital. In 2005, he received a pacemaker at the facility after suffering a myocardial infarction.
The hospital says the 86-year-old Di Stefano's ''progress continues to be favorable.'' Wednesday's statement says he is ''undergoing routine tests and checks.''
A date for his release was not given.
