Paolo di Canio believes his players could have scored six or seven as Swindon crushed Bournemouth 4-0 at the County Ground.

Apart from the four goals, two in each half, striker Andy Williams struck the post and bar as Bournemouth fell apart on Saturday.

Swindon winger Matt Ritchie showed why Bournemouth once bid ?2million for him with two goals while the others came from Williams and Adam Rooney.

Di Canio was delighted with the way his team overpowered Bournemouth from the moment Ritchie gave them the lead in the 12th minute with a 25-yard shot into the top corner of the net.

"It is obvious, not just from the result, that we deserved to win," he said.

"We won 4-0 but we created six or seven more chances once again, like we did at Portsmouth in midweek. We could have got six, maybe seven."
