Fluminense playmaker Deco has sustained a thigh injury that will sideline him indefinitely in the Brazilian league.
The former Chelsea and Portugal midfielder hurt his right thigh in the first half of Fluminense's 1-0 loss to Cruzeiro on Sunday. Deco was returning to action after recovering from a different right thigh injury.
Fluminense said Monday the new injury will keep Deco out of the team's match against rival Botafogo on Sunday, but did not give a timetable for his return.
The playmaker was one of Fluminense's top signings after the World Cup.

Winless in three matches, Fluminense trails Cruzeiro by two points with nine rounds to go in the Brazilian league.
