Angel Zaldivar headed home the tying goal for Club Deportivo Guadalajara in second half stoppage time as the Mexican club earned a 1-1 draw with D.C. United in an international friendly on Friday night.

Carlos Ruiz came off the bench to start the second half and gave D.C. United the lead in the 73rd minute.

Ruiz, who previously scored against Chivas in the 2003 MLS All-Star game at The Home Depot Center, one-timed his shot from 12 yards out after fellow substitute Michael Seaton saved the ball from going over the endline just a minute after entering the game.

Zaldivar redirected a cross from defender Abraham Coronado inside the six yard box right past United goalie Andrew Dykstra.
