Davis keen to keep Dalla Valle
Jermain Defoe has dismissed reports of a January move to QPR and insisted that he wants to see out his career with Tottenham.
Speculation has emerged that the England striker is a top target for new QPR boss Harry Redknapp when the transfer window re-opens on New Year's Day.
But Defoe, Spurs' leading scorer this season with 10 goals in all competitions, claims he has no intention of linking up with Redknapp for the fourth time in his career.
"That's not going to happen. I'm not leaving Tottenham, I love the club and to score goals at a big club like this is fantastic," Defoe told Sky Sports News.
"If the opportunity comes to leave the club it won't be happening. I don't want to leave, I'm a Spurs player - and I'm happy. I'd like to finish my career at Tottenham. I want to achieve something special here - it's a great time to be at the club."
Spurs moved to fifth in the Premier League after Wednesday's 2-1 win over Liverpool, and Defoe is confident they can sustain their challenge for a Champions League place.
"I thought the performance against Liverpool was great. It was a massive win," he added. "Character is key and the lads who've come in have been fantastic. With the quality we've got it's important to go on a run and we're capable of doing that."
Defoe also offered his full backing to Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, who has struggled to win over the fans since succeeding Redknapp in the summer.
"It's difficult for any manager - when you come in you've got different ideas," said Defoe. "It wasn't the best at Chelsea but that happens. It's part of life and being a manager, but he's a fantastic manager and been fantastic for me.
"There's always a different approach each game and he's such a nice guy. All the lads want to fight and win for him. I'm just enjoying the journey and I'm sure he is as well."
The Bees travel to League Two Bradford on the back of an eight-match unbeaten run, but their manager has warned his players that the Bantams cannot be taken lightly.
He told Bees Player: "I really want to get into the third round of the FA Cup because I know financially that gives us the opportunity to bring in one or two players later on in the season.
"Last season Stevenage were able to get two Premier League strikers in on loan for the last six weeks of the season thanks to their cup run and that ensured they ended up in the play-offs.
"I am working intensely now to make sure that we go out with the same attitude, intensity and desire against Bradford in order to win it.
"It is a very important game."
Adams will face the Blades on Saturday for the first time since he was dismissed by the club in the summer of 2011.
Adams left Vale flying high at the top of League Two just after Christmas in 2010 to take over at the club he supported as a boy. However, he could not save them from relegation from the Championship and soon returned to Burslem to pick up the pieces after Jim Gannon's ill-fated reign as boss.
"To be honest, I would have preferred to have gone anywhere else," said Adams ahead of the game. "People are talking about it because it's Micky Adams going back, but to me it's just another game and my only concern is taking Vale there and playing well."
On his brief spell in charge of the Blades, Adams said: "I still maintain, given time, that I would have done the job and taken United back up. No-one was more disappointed than me that I wasn't given longer, but that was the decision of the owner and the board of directors.
"But I don't bear or hold grudges, I just move on. I'm still a Sheffield United fan at heart and the club has been a big part of my life."
Fulham youngster Dalla Valle has been a revelation since joining Alex at the start of the month, netting four goals in five matches including both during last weekend's 2-0 win over Crawley.
The 21-year-old Finn is eligible to feature in Saturday's FA Cup clash with Burton and Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Doncaster before his month-long stay expires after the League One trip to Preston on Saturday week.
On the prospect of keeping Dalla Valle for a longer period, Davis told the The Sentinel: "It is something we have talked about. We have just over a week to decide and it is something we will do sooner rather than later."
"It depends on Lauri. Whatever we want to do, it will depend on whether he wants to stay or go back. But I do know he is thoroughly enjoying his stay here and enjoying the football we play.
"He is getting his rewards because of that and is working very hard for the team. It is brilliant when you get players like that coming along. He has found it very easy to make the transition and has been a breath of fresh air for us."
