Swedish football club AIK says its first-choice goalkeeper, Ivan Turina, has died.

AIK says the 32-year-old Croatian died in his sleep and that no foul play was suspected.

Newspaper Expressen said Turina was found dead in his apartment after a suspected heart failure early Thursday.

A club statement said: ''It's with great sadness and shock that AIK Football can confirm that goalkeeper Ivan Turina died overnight between Wednesday and Thursday. Ivan died suddenly in his sleep and there are no suspicions of a crime at this point in time.''

Turina joined AIK in 2010 from Dinamo Zagreb. He played 89 matches for AIK.

Expressen said he was substituted during a league match last week because of a thigh injury and missed AIK's home game against Halmstad on Tuesday.
