Crewe v Tranmere preview
Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Crewe and Tranmere at Alexandra Stadium.
Crewe could be without summer signing Michael West for the visit of leaders Tranmere.
The former Ebbsfleet forward, who only returned to the substitutes bench against Coventry last weekend after an Achilles problem, picked up an ankle knock playing for the club's Under-21 side in midweek and is rated as a major doubt.
Matt Tootle also ran out for the U21's and should feature in Steve Davis' plans as he came through his attempts to rehabilitate a hip and groin injury unscathed.
Top scorer Mathias Pogba is unavailable with the knee injury which kept him out of the 1-0 win against Coventry.
Goalkeeper Steve Phillips remains absent after knee surgery but the club are hopeful he can return to training next week.
Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore will welcome back James Wallace and Andy Robinson.
The pair missed the midweek loss to Port Vale in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with dead legs but will start against Alex.
Moore, who made four changes for Tuesday's defeat, told the club's official website: "They're both fit and will start on Saturday. They're two big, big players for this football club."
However, Moore will be unable to call on Ash Taylor, Ian Goodison and Paul Black, who are ruled out through injury.
Moore added: "Ash is probably going miss Saturday but should be OK for the Coventry game.
"Goody [Goodison] is still probably two weeks off and Blacky [Black] the same. It will be nice when we've got a full squad to select from."
