Coyle looks to pick up points

It has been a poor season so far for Wanderers - they have lost 11 of their 14 Premier League matches to date and are currently 19th in the table - but Saturday's home clash with Aston Villa is the first in a sequence of promising-looking fixtures between now and December 31. After the Villa contest, the Trotters play Fulham and Blackburn away before hosting Newcastle and Wolves. Coyle says the feeling in the Bolton camp is that a decent return from those games is achievable, and with the campaign approaching its midway point, the Scot is keen to stress that the time has come for the side to "go and deliver". He said: "We've got five more games this month, three at home and two away, and we feel we are capable of taking points in every one of them. "But it is fine me sitting here and talking about it - we have to go and deliver. "When we cross that white line, that is when we have to be ready to give everything, for ourselves as a team and for the supporters. "They have been there, loyal week in and week out, and it is time to put a smile on their faces. "That is what we will look to do on Saturday." Wanderers centre-back Gary Cahill, signed from Villa in 2008, is available to face his old club after his red card from the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham last weekend was rescinded. Fellow defender David Wheater misses out again as he serves the second game of a four-match ban for his sending off in the previous fixture, a 2-0 loss to Everton, while midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker - another former Villa man - is a doubt due to a hamstring complaint. Bolton have a lengthy injury list but received a boost for the Spurs game with Dedryck Boyata, who has been sidelined with an ankle problem sustained in October, returning at the back. The on-loan Manchester City defender is pleased with the way things are progressing, but admits he is still not quite back to where he was before the injury occurred. "My ankle is getting better. I'm feeling like I'm close to a full recovery and it seems alright. Hopefully I can play how I was before," Boyata told www.bwfc.co.uk. "I felt that I was doing good and almost at my best. I was unlucky to get injured at that time but that's in the past now and I have to think about the future. "I went back to Manchester City for a few weeks to do a bit of rehab, but it was nothing really too intense. It was just to do a bit of work to repair the soft tissues around the ankle. "Obviously, you feel a bit stiff when you go straight back into the team after five or six weeks without playing. I felt a bit heavy but that was natural because I hadn't got my legs going properly for a month or so. "To get back to my full fitness I will need to play another a match or two."
