Corinthians claimed their first win of the young Campeonato season with a 2-0 victory over Flamengo.

Guilherme opened the scoring after nine minutes and, after Flamengo's Leo Moura saw red two minutes before half-time, Gilberto Gil finished the job 10 minutes from time.

Antonio Carlos' stoppage-time goal for Sao Paulo denied Cruzeiro the chance to move level with Fluminense at the top of the early standings as they were held in a 1-1 draw.

Julio Baptista had put Cruzeiro ahead in the 50th minute.

Atletico Paranaense had to come from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw away to Vitoria.

Telmario Dinei scored the opener after 11 minutes and Welison da Silva doubled the lead eight minutes before the break.

But Atletico drew level with two goals in five minutes, Thiago Mosquito pulling one back before Marcelo's 82nd minute equaliser.

Botafogo also came back from 2-0 down to earn a point at home to Internacional.

Rafael Moura's first-half brace put the visitors in control but Marcio De Albuquerque's 64th minute strike was soon followed up by Pablo Zeballos to level it.

Gremio earned their first points of the campaign with a 2-1 win over Atletico Mineiro.

Early goals from Alan Ruiz and Lucas Coelho gave them the lead, and Fernandinho's 84th minute strike was too late for the visitors.

Cruzeiro's Bruno Rodrigo and Sao Paulo's Antonio Carlos go up for an aerial challenge during the 1-1 draw between the sides.

Sport Recife claimed a 2-1 win over Chapecoense with goals from Francisco Rithiely and Monteiro Ananias, the latter coming just seconds after Ricardo Conceicao had levelled for the visitors.

Figueirense and Criciuma are yet to get off the mark after suffering defeat on Sunday.

Goals in either half from Cassio Lincoln and Leandro Fahel gave Bahia a 2-0 away win over Figueirense, while Criciuma were undone by Willian Amaral's 82nd minute goal as they lost 1-0 at Goias.

On Saturday, Rafael Sobis' first-half strike helped Fluminense claim their second win from two matches in the Campeonato as they edged to a 1-0 win at Palmeiras.

The former Brazil international scored the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time as the visitors continued their excellent start to the season.

Elsewhere, Coritiba and Santos each drew for the second time this season following a goalless stalemate at the Couto Pereira.
