Cooper made his senior debut in the Carling Cup clash against Swansea in August 2008. The 18-year-old has since made two Premier League appearances for the Tigers, including the 2-1 defeat by Arsenal last weekend. The announcement coincided with the unveiling at the KC Stadium of Iain Dowie as the new Tigers boss following the sacking of Phil Brown.
