Chesterfield have confirmed Paul Cook as their new manager on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Cook has left League Two counterparts Accrington to take over at the Proact Stadium.
The Spireites were given the go-ahead to speak to Cook on Wednesday night after agreeing a compensation package with Stanley for the former Sligo Rovers boss.
Cook spent Thursday in negotiations with the Derbyshire club and the 45-year-old will be officially unveiled at a 1pm press conference on Friday.
Chesterfield have been without a manager since John Sheridan was relieved of his duties on August 28.
Tommy Wright has been in caretaker charge since Sheridan's exit but five wins, including a 4-3 victory over Cook's Accrington side last month, from 13 games has not been enough for the Scot to land the job on a permanent basis.
He and coach Mark Crossley will remain part of the backroom team under Cook.
"I'm delighted to be the new Chesterfield manager," said Cook in a Chesterfield statement. "It's a fantastic club with a great infrastructure and I'm really looking forward to the challenge."
