Argentine midfielder Dario Conca has signed a five-year contract extension Fluminense, a week after leading the team to its first Brazilian league title in 26 years.
Fluminense says in a statement posted on its website on Friday that the 26-year-old player will play for the team through Dec. 2015.
On Monday, Conca was named the top player in Brazil and the most popular among fans.
He was the only Fluminense player who played in all 38 league games. He picked up only three yellow cards.
