Bristol City manager Derek McInnes has dismissed a couple of rumours that have been circulating ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.

The Robins have been linked with Bournemouth forward Lewis Grabban as McInnes looks to increase the Championship stugglers' firepower.

The 24-year-old has netted 10 goals in League One for the Cherries this season after switching from Millwall in a ?300,000 deal during the summer.

But the club tweeted: "Derek McInnes has rubbished media reports linking him with Bournemouth forward Lewis Grabban."

There have also been suggestions that City winger Martyn Woolford has asked for a transfer after falling out of the first-team picture in recent weeks.

However, a second tweet read: "Derek McInnes has also strongly denied rumours suggesting winger Martyn Woolford has asked for a transfer."

Woolford, 27, moved to Ashton Gate from Scunthorpe in January 2011 and has since made 57 appearances for the club and scored four goals.
