Villarreal have swooped for Brazilian full-back Cicinho to help cover the loss of long-term injury absentee Angel Lopez.
The Yellow Submarine have reached an agreement with Roma for Cicinho to move to El Madrigal on loan until the end of the season, subject to him successfully passing his medical on Friday.
If all goes to plan, then the 30-year-old international will pen his contract with Villarreal before being presented to the media just after midday.
Villarreal, who this week lost right-back Angel for six months to a cruciate knee ligament injury, have the option to buy former Real Madrid defender Cicinho when his current deal ends.
