Christen Press' first touch would make Ronaldinho blush
Alex Morgan's dream start against Costa Rica stole most of Wednesday night's headlines, but the goal of the night should belong to her teammate, Christen Press.
Amid the USWNT's 5-0 drubbing to open 2016 Olympic Qualifying, Press, who came on in the 74th minute, offered this sublime display of skill just nine minutes later:
After Tobin Heath found space down the left flank to fire in a cross, Press lifted her right boot to settle the pass with the outside of her foot, quickly turn, then fire in the shot with her left. Not a bad way to score her 30th career goal for the U.S. women's national team, eh?
Just look at that first touch, though. It's like she's got a pillow on her foot.
One more time:

That goal would cap the USWNT's rout against Las Ticas. What's that saying? "Something, something ... best for last"? Yeah, that.
