Chievo are searching for a new coach after confirming Stefano Pioli will not be in charge of the Serie A club next season.

Under Pioli´s leadership, the Verona outfit finished the 2011-12 campaign in 11th place.

Pioli, who arrived at Chievo last summer having previously been in charge of Sassuolo, has held talks with Roma in recent weeks to replace Vincenzo Montella.

A statement from Chievo read: "Having reached our aim to remain in Serie A, Chievo and coach Pioli have decided by mutual consent to not renew the contract for the 2011-12 campaign.

"Chievo wishes to thank Pioli and his staff for the work done this season.''
