Charges dropped against England fan
The England fan who entered the team's locker room after its draw against Algeria is a free man after paying a small fine.
Pavlos Joseph paid a $100 admission of guilt fine on Wednesday in exchange a Cape Town magistrate dropping the charges against him.
The British journalist accused of conspiring in the trespass was ordered to reappear in court on July 7 after being released on $390 bail. Simon Wright has surrendered his passport to authorities and is required to report daily to Cape Town police.
Police believe Wright orchestrated Joseph's unauthorized entry into the English locker room to embarrass South Africa's World Cup security operations. His newspaper, the Sunday Mirror, denies it.
Joseph confronted David Beckham in the dressing room and called England's performance a ``disgrace.''
