Celtic rounded off an impressive week with a 4-2 romp over Inverness, with young Tony Watt bagging a brace on his first start in an emphatic display.

The champions, making six changes from the side that won in Helsingborg in midweek, dominated throughout - bar a late five minute lapse - the result never really in doubt once Victor Wanyama had given them an early lead.

Gary Hooper nutmegged Simon King and lashed straight at keeper Ryan Esson but Adam Matthews delivery from the resultant corner was powerfully headed home by Wanyama (3).

Charlie Mulgrew's free-kick then clattered off the goalframe with Inverness reeling, Aaron Doran finally working Fraser Forster as the hosts sought a toe hold.

Watt (25) burst free from halfway - escaping the attentions of King - and fired past Esson to double the advantage only for Andrew Shinnie to slice wide immediately after.

The third goal did arrive as Inverness defensive woes continued when Matthews slid the ball across the edge of the area for Mulgrew (48) to slot crisply into the bottom corner.

Esson kept out Hooper with his feet and Watt rolled one across the face, but the latter duly bagged the fourth after Esson had blocked Matthews initial attempt (64).

Ross Draper did manage to get the home side on the scoresheet with a tidy finish (82) and the same player was at it again - at the second attempt (87) - but it was all too little too late.
