Cardiff City played out a 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road in their latest pre-season match.

The League Two side made a strong start and were rewarded inside the opening ten minutes when defender Troy Brown took advantage of some poor marking to head in Steve Elliott's flick-on.

Cardiff responded well and drew level in the 26th minute as Kim Bo-Kyung fired a fine finish into the bottom corner from the edge of the area after good work by Craig Bellamy on the right.

There were a host of changes in the second half and John Brayford was introduced on the hour mark for his Cardiff debut after signing from Derby County.

Cheltenham's Brown had a goal ruled out for offside and record Cardiff signing Andreas Cornelius saw a free-kick well saved as both sides carved out chances to grab a winner, before eventually settling for a draw.
