Canaries chapter excites Elliott
Bennett, who joined the Canaries from Brighton for an undisclosed fee last month, was on target in the 3-0 friendly win at Coventry on Saturday. The 22-year-old winger is raring to go under the guidance of Paul Lambert, with City's Premier League campaign set to kick off at Wigan on August 13. Bennett said: "I've got a massive battle to get in the starting XI. "The club hasn't done what it's done in the last two years without playing well. I'm under no illusion that I'm just going to walk into this team. I'm going to work really hard and - if I get a chance - hopefully take it and help the club. "The gaffer's brought in some good players to add to the very, very good players he already had so everyone is battling it out for positions. "I just like playing football. If the manager asks me to play right back, left back - I don't mind. I just want to play football. "I'm only young and I think I can learn a lot from the players and the gaffer and adapt my game to fit in here," he added to The Mail on Sunday.
