Captain Lucas Neill and Everton midfielder Tim Cahill were among 13 World Cup players included Tuesday in Australia's 20-man squad for an Aug. 11 international friendly against Slovenia at Ljubljana.

Australia had a win, a loss and a draw at South Africa 2010 and was eliminated in the first round, with Germany and Ghana going through from the group.

Veteran Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, Brett Holman and Luke Wilkshire were also among the players retained from the World Cup squad, but strikers Harry Kewell and Josh Kennedy were not selected.

Australia is using the match to build up for the Asian Cup at Qatar in January. Slovenia was eliminated in first round at the World Cup, finishing behind England and the United States in Group C.
