Cahill: Moyes deserves credit

The Scot has earned rave reviews for his work since taking charge at Goodison Park in 2002. He has helped the Toffees regularly challenge for European qualification despite not having the spending power of some of his rivals. Moyes has dismissed rumours suggesting that he could one day succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, saying he remains committed to Everton. And Cahill is delighted that Moyes is planning to stay after coming through a tricky period earlier this season. Reflecting on the speculation about Moyes moving elsewhere, the Australian midfielder told Sky Sports News: "It's a compliment to himself and the club for what they have achieved, and it reflects what he has done as a manager. "You can see with the players we have got and the way we respect him, when he was being questioned at the start of the season it made a lot of the players angry. "You say to yourself that sometimes everything is just a flash in the pan, and that's why you look at some situations and you think one week you are a legend and the next week you are forgotten, so fair play to him."
