Popov is believed to have been on trial at Blackburn this week and he has impressed Rovers boss Sam Allardyce. Allardyce has been seeking to bolster his attacking options and it appears he has decided to offer Popov a deal at Ewood Park. The 22-year-old, who can play up front or on the wing, has been linked with a move to England in the past with the likes of Manchester City and Sunderland credited with an interest in his services. However, Blackburn are now ready to take Popov to the Premier League, with Litex claiming the player had agreed personal terms on a switch to Rovers. Popov is believed to have passed a medical and is awaiting a work permit before finalising his switch to Ewood Park.
