Bruce ready to shun Nyron interest
Bruce is a fan of Nosworthy and handed him a new contract not long after he arrived at the Stadium of Light last year. Nosworthy's recent run in the side at right-back has highlighted his importance to the Black Cats but Bruce is looking to bolster his defensive options this month and was understood to be open to the idea of letting Nosworthy move on. Wolves and West Brom were among the clubs reportedly keen on the 29-year-old but Bruce has now changed his mind and wants to keep Nosworthy -currently sidelined with a minor knee problem - until the summer at least, according to Sky Sports. However, should Bruce succeed in bringing in a couple of defensive recruits before the end of the month he may yet consider a late deal for the former Gillingham man. Currently Bruce is still hoping to bring in the likes of Guy Demel, Younes Kaboul and Maynor Figueroa.
