N'Zogbia has been tipped for a summer exit from the DW Stadium with a number of rival Premier League clubs believed to be keen on the new France international. Bruce brought the talented wideman to the Latics during his spell in charge of the North-West club, but has played down suggestions of an imminent reunion with the former Newcastle player. He told Sky Sports News HD: "I like Charles, but I think it would be unwise of me to get involved with that one. "We haven't had any contact or made contact with Wigan as such. "It's certainly media fiction in a lot of respects." Bruce has money to spend before the transfer window closes at 6pm on Tuesday August 31 following the £8million sale of Kenwyne Jones to Stoke. And the Wearside tactician is eager to reinvest those funds in his squad provided he can find the right player. He added: "I would like to bring a couple of faces in but whether that is possible at the moment, I'm not quite sure. "But I would like the chance to, if that is possible."
