Brown could be a loan arranger
City manager Brown is currently having to accommodate the loss of the top-flight's current player of the month, Jimmy Bullard, due to a left knee injury. Bullard, 31, is not expected back until the end of January while Seyi Olofinjana and Kamel Ghilas will miss several weeks due to the African Nations Cup. With restrictions set by the club's financial situation, however, funds will not be readily available to bolster the squad during next month's transfer window. "We have looked at the fixtures and it will be a long six weeks, it could become eight weeks," said Brown, referring to Bullard's absence. "But the January window opens and there may be an opportunity to bring one or two loans in to strengthen the squad. "I will be talking long and hard with the chairman and the owner with regard the January transfer window." Hull are currently 16th in the Premier League, three points above the drop zone, but face Arsenal, champions Manchester United and current leaders Chelsea in their next four matches.
