Brest snatched a late equaliser with 10 men in a dramatic finish to their Ligue 1 clash with struggling Dijon which ended 1-1.
The visitors had the better of a goalless first half but had to wait until the 75th minute to take the lead through on-loan Gael Kakuta.
Brest then had Issam Jemaa sent off with a minute remaining but still managed to salvage a point when Santiago Gentiletti headed home in stoppage time.
Dijon went into the game just three points clear of the relegation zone but made a bright start, with Benjamin Corgnet's shot deflected away by defender Paul Baysse and Gregory Thil drawing a sharp save from Steeve Elana.
Brest responded and visiting keeper Baptiste Reynet saved from Alexandre Alphonse, who then turned provider as Gentiletti's effort was cleared by Abdoulaye Meite.
Thil went close again when he was played in by Corgnet and his shot on the turn beat Elana, but Jonathan Zebina cleared off the line.
Elana saved another Thil effort before Kakuta, a January acquisition from Chelsea, curled a superb left-footed effort against the post as the half somehow ended goalless.
Dijon were straight on the attack again after the restart, Thomas Guerbert firing over from Pascal Berenguer's pass.
Romain Poyet went close with a volley at the other end but Dijon opened the scoring with 15 minutes remaining when Kakuta dribbled past Bruno Grougi and fired low past Elana from the edge of the box.
It looked even worse for Brest when they lost Jemaa late on, the Tunisia forward collecting his second yellow card for his protests after he was denied a free-kick.
But there was a final twist as Grougi delivered a free-kick from a central position towards the penalty spot and Gentiletti headed powerfully into the top corner to earn his side a draw.
