Bothroyd aiming to shine
The 29-year-old, who has one solitary cap for England, joined the west Londoners from Cardiff during the summer but has so far failed to establish himself in Neil Warnock's starting line-up. Bothroyd netted his first R's goal in Sunday's 3-1 defeat to Tottenham and has now targeted more, as well as a regular spot in the England squad. "Everyone has regrets," he told the Daily Star. "I've always believed I am a Premier League player playing outside of the Premier League. "That was probably due to my mentality when I was younger. But my head is firmly screwed on now. If I had the chance again, I would do things a lot differently." He added: "My goal is to make myself indispensable, no matter who comes in. I've played in the Premier League, I've played for my country. Now I want to do both of those on a more consistent basis."
