Bolton kept its hopes alive of staying in the English Premier League by drawing with Sunderland 2-2 on Saturday.

Kevin Davies scored first and last to snatch a point for Bolton, which remained in the relegation zone but was tied on points with the teams just above it, Queens Park Rangers and Wigan.

Nicklas Bendtner potted Sunderland's opener to keep the score tied into halftime, and Adam Bogdan curled in a free kick in the 55th minute to put the home side ahead. But Davies' header with 20 minutes to go gave Bolton a deserved draw.
