Early season pacesetters Colon Santa Fe saw their 100 per cent record disappear in Argentina's Apertura.

Colon, who had won their first two games of the season, needed to recover from a poor start to take a point off opponents Belgrano Cordoba.

The visitors led 2-0 inside 11 minutes thanks to Claudio Perez's penalty and Cesar Carranza's effort soon after.

However, Facundo Curuchet halved the deficit on the half hour and Sergio Rodriguez's 71st-minute own goal made sure Colon picked up a point which keeps them at the top of the table.

Boca Juniors and Estudiantes both moved to within a point of the summit with wins in their third matches of the campaign.

Guillermo Burdisso gave Boca a dream start with a goal inside two minutes but Ivan Borghello levelled for opponents All Boys 13 minutes later.

However, Santiago Silva restored the home side's advantage just before the break and made it 3-1 two minutes after the restart - and that was the end of the scoring.

Estudiantes were 1-0 winners at San Lorenzo, with Roman Martinez making the decisive breakthrough 11 minutes from time.
