A prominent Indian football club says it will host Premier League team Blackburn for a friendly game on Oct. 7 after an earlier match was canceled over security fears.
Pune FC director Nandan Piramal made the announcement Monday in a press release.
Blackburn, owned by Pune-based poultry firm Venky's, was scheduled to tour the western Indian city for a game on July 22, but it was postponed following three bomb blasts in Mumbai on July 13 in which 26 people were killed.
