Blackburn man Reid, who finished the season on loan with the Baggies, is available for free when his contract expires this summer. The Baggies were thought to the front-runners for Reid's signature, but he is has now met with Celtic's officials to agree a deal. Reid was at the club's Lennoxtown HQ on Monday and it is believed talks over an estimated £20,000-a-week deal were close to being agreed. Although Neil Lennon is only Celtic's caretaker manager he is of the firm belief that the 29-year-old will prove a successful signing. Reid began his career at Millwall before joining Blackburn in 2003. He has won 22 caps for Republic of Ireland.
