Clarence Seedorf could remain as AC Milan's coach beyond the end of this season, according to club president Silvio Berlusconi.
The Dutchman took over in January following the sacking of Massimiliano Allegri, and despite a below-par season he could guide the Rossoneri to a place in next term's Europa League if results on the final day of Serie A go their way.
Allegri was sacked with Milan just six points above the relegation zone, but 10 wins under Seedorf have improved matters for the red half of Milan.
However reports earlier in the week suggested that the 38-year-old's days were numbered because of a deteriorating relationship with AC Milan administrator Adriano Galliani.
Seedorf won the Champions League twice as well as two Serie A titles in a decade with Milan, and if his side beat relegated Sassuolo on Sunday they could qualify for the Europa League at the end of a difficult season for the club.
And Berlusconi hinted that nothing has been decided over the former Netherlands international, saying: "We will take a decision at the end of the season, after the last game.
"He could stay, if we can find an agreement. It's possible we could continue with Seedorf."
