Benzema staying put - Agent

BY foxsports • May 16, 2011

The 23-year-old continues to struggle to hold down a first-team place at the Santiago Bernabeu. Benzema moved to Madrid from Lyon for more than £30million in the summer of 2009, but he has started just over half the league games since then. Despite his struggles to find a regular start, he has scored 13 goals this season and he has a lot of admirers - especially in the Premier League. Manchester United have a long-standing interest, whilst the Spanish media claimed a bid from Arsenal was imminent. But Benzema's agent Karim Djaziri says his charge is content in Madrid and is not looking to leave the Spanish capital. "At no stage has Karim Benzema thought about leaving Madrid," Djaziri said in AS. "He has not asked me to negotiate with any club. "The reports (about him leaving) are false. Karim only wants to continue with Real Madrid and is confirming that with his recent good performances."
