Germany midfielder Sven Bender and Serbia defender Neven Subotic have agreed to long-term deals to stay with Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund says on its website that Bender has agreed a one-year extension through to June 2017, while Subotic's contract has been extended by two years to June 2016.

Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp said he is ''very happy that these lads also want to travel down our chosen path.''

Bender, 23, and Subotic, 24, follow Mario Goetze, Mats Hummels, Jakub Blaszczykowski, Mitch Langerak and Lukasz Piszczek in extending their deals with the defending Bundesliga champions.

Subotic is likely to be out of action for about three weeks due to a suspected muscle tear in his right calf in Dortmund's training session on Saturday at La Manga, Spain.
